Job Title: Senior Channel Associate, Strategic Account Manager - Mount Sinai Health Partners

Within MSHP, the Commercialization Team was created to assemble Mount Sinai's clinical and population health assets into product offerings (e.g., care bundles, worksite health centers, insurance products in partnership with health plans), and sell them to individuals and employers via multiple channels . We are looking for talented professionals to join this team with experience in strategy, product management, operations, sales and account management. We want people who are passionate about developing a true system of care that can create market-leading value for our customers, members and patients.

Each of these new product offerings will have important population health features including: (1) value-based pricing (2) a curated network of high-value physicians (3) optimized care pathways and related programs, and (4) an enhanced patient experience. For worksite health centers, MSHP builds a primary and urgent care practice right at the employer’s worksite with a value-based financial model that enables the clinician to spend more time with the patient. For care bundles, MSHP accepts a fixed-price for an episode of care provided by a curated network of high-value physicians with new care pathways to ensure holistic and consistent care. For insurance products, MSHP partners with like-minded insurers to wrap a health plan around our clinically-integrated network of physicians, hospitals, and other providers. The goal of each product is to increase the value for employers and their employees, mitigating the effects of the affordability crisis.

Role Summary

Our Specialty Care Solutions business focuses on organizing the care delivery system for a variety of care needs, from surgeries to more episodic and chronic specialty care.  Our team holds the patient’s hand (sometimes literally!) throughout their care journey, ensuring they get the right care at the right time. Our offerings consistently receive 90+ Net Promoter Scores, save our customers millions of dollars a year, and generate significant contribution margin for Mount Sinai each year, creating a true win-win-win situation.

The Commercialization Team has been partnering with a large, progressive purchaser since 2016 to build and implement products around Total Joint Replacement Surgery, Gender Affirmation Surgery, and Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery. We are expanding our relationship by adding new programs, developing a geographic network of Centers of Excellence (COE) health system provider partners, and supporting all of this by scaling a navigation service run by Mount Sinai and our COE partners. We are looking for a Senior Associate who will build on our current relationships and expand on our success.

The Senior Associate is responsible for the success of our COE network and managing the relationship with our largest customer. The Senior Associate will work in partnership with the customer to support our value-based programs. We are looking for a candidate that can grow our business, manage the customer relationship, manage the COE providers, assist the product build and deliver a first-in-class member experience. 

Responsibilities

Lead customer relationships

  • Manage and participate in meetings with customers
  • Engage customer in new programs in order to grow business
  • Troubleshoot and provide timely responses to issues raised by customer
  • Support Operations & Customer Lead in managing customer questions and concerns

Oversee COE partner relationships specialty care model programs

  • Oversight of our 6+ health system partners
  • Manage day-to-day relationship with interdisciplinary departmental teams at each COE partner
  • Onboard new COE partners regarding the program benefits and workflows
  • Identify, investigate and resolve patient and customer issues and seek out best practices
  • Work with the customer and product teams to identify opportunities to reduce customer issues and improve timelines
  • Manage the daily tracking and reporting of utilization, engagement, and quality across COE partners

Support process improvement efforts

  • Gather & compile quality data for quarterly reporting
  • Collaborate with COE partners to create quality improvements plans, as needed
  • Gather and analyze patient and customer feedback to inform the Product and Operations teams
  • Incorporate customer feedback into day-to-day operations and governance process
  • Participate in departmental meetings and act as an advocate for patients and their families

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6+ years of complex account management experience required
  • Experience managing customers or provider partners
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
