Subcontracts Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Performs full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work.
  • Qualifies suppliers, issues requests for proposals, evaluates proposals, maintains subcontract files in accordance to established procedures.
  • Oversees and performs the full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work on a project.
  • Under general direction, uses specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support team.
  • Develops negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms & Conditions); analyze quotations/proposals to perform price/cost analysis techniques; maintain strong business relationships with first tier subcontractors; oversees preparation and issuance of solicitations (RFQs, RFPs and RFIs); develop and maintain effective working relationships with your commercial counterparts in our key subcontractors.
  • Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices.
  • May direct resources, prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Duties will also include reporting, project schedule tracking, slides creation and meeting briefs.
  • Proficiency in analytical skills.
  • Relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad knowledge of field to ensure task completion in compliance with policies, procedures, and business strategy.

Requirements:

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills and the ability to professionally communicate with all levels of Management as well as internal and external customers. 
  • Vast experience and knowledge of KBR policies and procedures is essential to assist in the development, implementation and performance of audits specific to KBR GSUS Procurement Logistics department.
  • Experience in performing audits and conducting trainings is also preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional attention to detail, data-driven mindset and analytical problem solver
  • Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and/or 7+ years of experience.
  • Willing to travel to site and Project's Headquarters (Periodically) in order to meet the Project's leads.
