The Talent portfolio in the Consulting Practice constantly changing, with a current focus on supporting the transformation of the service line to realise the ambition of becoming the global Transformation leaders. This involves building world class capabilities, and driving the cultural and Talent systems, processes and leadership mindset change to achieve the ambition.
The opportunity
As the APAC Consulting Talent Operations manager, you’ll play an exciting part in the growth of the Consulting service line contributing to the success of the practice in Asia-Pacific and the global transformation journey.
The role is asecondment opportunity for a period of 6 months within the Asia-Pacific Consulting Talent team – Executive Layer, reporting to Area Consulting Talent Leader with direct connectivity to the Global ConsultingTalent team leader.
Your key responsibilities
Depending on your unique skills and ambitions, you could be managing various responsibilities, from consulting, influencing and advising Asia-Pacific stakeholders, to working on global Consulting talent team projects, to reporting and data analysis. Whatever you find yourself doing, you’ll personally connect, build and develop relationships with the wider talent team, and have a focus on quality and attention to details. It’s all about maintaining our reputation as trusted advisors to the business.
Act as an interface between the APAC Consulting Talent Leader, the Executive Consulting Talent Team and the APAC talent team to ensure that:
The firm’s Global and Area Talent Priorities under NextWave are implemented through Consulting in the Regions
The Global Consulting and APAC Talent Teams receive timely advice and information on Talent matters (via communications, timely reporting)
Area SL Planning
Work with Area Consulting Talent Leader (and where appropriate, Regions) to determine Consulting Talent priorities and a plan to execute on priorities
Proactively monitor Area Consulting performance (retention, turnover, hiring, D&I), escalating Talent issues, providing the business with insights and providing Talent advice to help drive business performance
Provide insight to the Area Consulting Talent Leader on Talent issues
Implementation
Facilitate and monitor the execution of agreed global (cross-Area) and Area Talent priorities in the service line, guided by the NextWave talent agenda
Manage Talent projects and processes such as: New Horizons, NextGen, Succession Planning, Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP), DAP recruitment cadence, PEDD promotions, Independent Career Reviews and other development programs, LEAD processes for PEDDs
Provide relevant HR data and updates on projects to the Global, APAC and/or regional Consulting Business and Talent leaders
Support the Area Consulting Talent Leader in evaluating and responding to requests from Consulting leadership for support and initiatives on the Talent implications of the wider business strategy
Prepare reports and presentations as requested by the Area Consulting Talent Leader
Relationship Management
Coordinate communication with the APAC Consulting Talent team, Regional Consulting Talent team and core APAC Talent Team (e.g. regular meetings/updates, agenda management, minutes, knowledge / document sharing)
Build and maintain influential relationships with executive and regional Consulting Talent teams
Respond to complex and urgent Talent queries pertaining to key stakeholder groups

To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor's/graduate degree and around 6-7 years of related work experience
Ability to succinctly and clearly communicate complex concepts to internal clients
HR reporting & analytics
Experience managing projects and people
Ability to understand and integrate cultural differences and motives and to lead cross-cultural teams
Strong English language skills
Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
Change and stakeholder management skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
Ability to Identify and answer internal requests
Provide talent advice to a portfolio of stakeholders
Build relationships with our internal clients
A growth mindset - constantly developing your own knowledge, maintaining your status as a trusted advisor by monitoring trends and best practices
