Position Description

Considered one of the most knowledgeable people on a given product or set of capabilities across Higher Education Courseware, the Product & Solutions Specialist Marketing Coordinator collaborates closely with their product team colleagues to launch and sustain national campaigns meant to focus sales rep priorities and enhance their ability to sell effectively and efficiently in a given discipline.

They are expert in presenting and modeling for others how our solutions improve classroom outcomes, and work in close concert with the Digital Sales Specialist teams to strategically target and win market share in their area of responsibility.

The key accountabilities for the role include: translating product messaging into effective campaigns and executing effectively at a national level; building and facilitating training for sales organization; creating and maintaining accurate and targeted sales tools that make sales people more effective and efficient; gathering market intelligence; campaign and win/loss analysis with timely feedback to product teams and key internal stakeholders; overseeing event strategy; responding to internal and external sales inquiries in a timely and actionable manner.

Travel associated with this job includes: industry events, internal company meetings, and customer facing campus travel that is properly vetted through opportunity pipeline management

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work with Product & Campaign Marketing to infuse the product messaging and customer persona work into training and tools for the sales organization. Collaborate with stakeholders to create marketing plan for core products and solutions.

  2. Build and facilitate product/platform/capabilities training for sales organization at live & virtual meetings as well as providing ongoing training support throughout the year.

  3. Serve as the product expert for key customer questions raised by reps through responding to email and OneCRM rep inquiries in a timely and accurate manner enabling sales to move adoption or sales opportunities forward.

  4. Create sales/marketing tools (competitive grids, demo scripts, model videos, etc.) and maintain their accuracy.

  5. Provide on-going (two-way) product communication to sales org through OneCRM, Chatter, and email.

  6. As appropriate and in coordination with local sales representatives, travel to or use virtual capabilities to engage with targeted customers to advance sales

  7. Coordinate with Digital Sales Specialists, Sales Management, Content Management, Commercial Product Management and others in planning customer-facing events to drive sales and engage with key market segments.

  8. Gather and provide market intelligence with appropriate stakeholders.

  9. Using OneCRM, Tableau and other Pearson systems, analyze campaigns and conduct win/loss analysis. Target and track revenue performance of products across the country, and over time.

  10. Coordinate with Campaign Marketing on direct marketing strategy. Working closely with Sales Operations to ensure effective distribution of leads to sales.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Preferred

  • Publishing experience preferred

  • Excel proficiency
