Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

This Business Liaison Consultant 2 role in the Wholesale Operations Support Services (WOSS) Risk and Initiatives team will be responsible for assisting with a diverse set of functions related to business continuity planning, third party risk management, initiatives intake tracking and reporting, as well as various risk efforts or process improvement efforts.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Support business continuity planning and maintenance for Wholesale Operations
Support initiative intake tracking and reporting for Wholesale Operations
Support third party risk management for Wholesale Operations
Develop and monitor ad hoc reporting, as needed
Provide suggestion for support and/or operational process improvement
Develop and maintain strong working relationships
Effectively communicate across varying levels of the organization including senior management
Collaborate with team members in diverse geographical locations

Additionally this role will:
Liaises with key business partners, providing subject matter expertise on a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations (that are managed by others) to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives. Ensures efficiency, quality, cost effectiveness of solutions, and impasse and pipeline management relating to assigned operations. Enacts and monitors key indicators to ensure effective performance and control management of assigned operations. Establishes framework for assigned business operational reviews and suggests oversight strategies. Participates in
performance monitoring reviews. Ensures effective integration/timing of change initiatives related to assigned business operations. Has ongoing accountability for effective operational controls.

Influences technology or innovation opportunities on behalf of line of business or group. Participates on projects as needed.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business operations, implementation, or strategic planning; or 2+ years of legal experience which includes the review, evaluation and response to agency, law firm, or regulatory inquiries

Other Desired Qualifications

Experience working within one, or more of the Wholesale lines of business
Experience and understanding of enterprise business continuity planning (BCP) policies and procedures
Knowledge and understanding of third party risk management and supply chain processes and procedures Experience with TRIMS and eSourcing
Experience with risk acceptance and SHRP
Ability to effectively collaborate, partner, build relationships and influence across multiple lines of business at all organizational levels
Strong relationship management skills, execution skills, along with the ability to influence
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Ensures effective integration/timing of change initiatives related to assigned third parties
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with the ability to know your audience
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a matrix environment
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
Experience with efforts that impact multiple businesses areas
Ability to identify potential risks and downstream impacts and develop mitigation strategies
Strong ability to prepare reporting, metrics and presentation materials for various levels of leadership
