General Description
Under the supervision of the Senior Director of the Career and Technical Education Assistance Center (CTEA Center), the Career Services Liaison to Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs is responsible for developing and implementing a career services plan for students enrolled in CTE courses. Key elements of the career services plan are: (1) assisting students with job readiness services and connections to internship and employment opportunities; (2) building partnerships with employers to obtain their support on new projects in development and to develop career pathways for students exiting their training programs; (3) working with CTE program administrators to create policies and procedures to ensure students are receiving the career services agreed upon for each ACE CTE program.
Conduct individual/group consultations for students enrolled in ACE CTE courses, develop and facilitate innovative workshops, and manage, develop, and advertise the opportunities and related career services available through the CTEA Center
Assist students with job readiness services/workshops and internship/employment search strategies
Participate is team meetings with ACE CTE program teams and coordinate with CTEA Center staff to ensure grant funded CTE students are supported with career services as agreed upon with the training program
Develop job opportunities with employers that align with CTE training; establish referral process with employer representatives and manage entire employment process until student start date. Record activities.
Conduct site visits to include campus, local, and regional employers to maintain relations as well as expand experiential learning and employment opportunities, promoting out-of-the-classroom experience and learning activity related to students' CTE program and career pathway. Participate in area business, not-for-profit associations, and chamber of commerce activities with emphasis on relationship development.
Coordinate career events both in person and virtually to include industry fairs, on and off-site recruitment events, job clubs, and related experiential learning activities.
Record all activity with students and employers in the Symplicity system and work with CTEA team to ensure all continuing education CTE students are entered into Symplicity as it relates to all career services rendered.
Oversee the maintenance of accurate records of student information and work closely with CTEA Center contract administration aide to ensure this.
Assist ACE CTE programs with student selection process where applicable, to include assessments and interviews
Participate in activities and events that provide best practices for non-traditional student participation in CTE programs and career services. Share information with CTEA Center team.
Participate in staff activities/meetings, an annual performance evaluation, and professional development activities including involvement in state, regional, and national associations.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Two years of experience in a business or career office setting. Strong organization, written, and oral communication skills, demonstrated ability to oversee multiple tasks with attention to detail, a motivated/enthusiastic work style, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a broad range of internal and external constituents.
