Chief – Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology

Job Description

Wills Eye Hospital is accepting applications for a highly qualified Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology to lead its expanding department. Candidates should be board certified in ophthalmology, should be subspecialty trained and eligible for appointment as Professor or Associate Professor at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Faculty rank will be determined by experience and credentials.

This position requires both excellent clinical skills and a dedication to academic ophthalmology. The successful candidate will ideally have several years of experience directing a high volume academic pediatric ophthalmology department. The candidate should be a regional and national thought leader. The candidate will be expected to engage in both teaching and clinical research activities. Wills particularly welcomes a record of funded research.
