ACM Healthcare is working with a government organisation and is interested in speaking with Psychologists & Social workers who have an interest in providing clinical support and service quality assurance to ex-military personnel and their families.

Typical duties of the Psychologist/Social Worker will include:

  • Provision of high-quality clinical services including initial intake, assessment and referral, evidence-based individual, couple and family counselling, and case management.
  • Participation in and contribution to ongoing learning and development activities and maintenance of professional status.
    • Maintaining clinical records according to standards, collating and analysing data from client records, and preparing reports as required to assist in evaluating and improving service delivery
    • Facilitating the delivery of counselling and other programs to personnel and their families in rural and outer metropolitan areas by; applying quality assurance principles and procedures to ensure the clinical practice
    • Liaising and forming partnerships 
    • Contribution to the development and delivery of group programs as required.

    Mandatory attributes:

    • Qualifications and relevant general registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.
    • If you are a Social Worker you MUST have AASW accreditation & AMHSW certification
    • Minimum of 24 months experience in a clinical position
    • Experience in coordinating and assisting in the management of a caseload of complex and potentially at-risk clients
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the capacity to liaise with and develop productive relationships with other organisations
    • Due to the nature of the positions, applicants required full eligible working rights within Australia, to adhere to government regulations.

    Desirable attributes:

    • Community or Defence mental health team experience
    • Expertise in treating substance abuse, mood, and anxiety disorders, PTSD
