DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes - Remote

Kforce is working with a growing Healthcare Tech firm. This is a remote consulting position that is offering benefits. This firm is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the ongoing development and maintenance of our continuous integration, delivery and deployment systems and pipelines within our Development Operations function. Through your efforts, you'll be making valuable contributions to the continuous transformation and improvement of our information systems. You must have extensive experience around Kubernetes. This role works within the firm to support agile software development lifecycle, including source code management, application scanning & profiling, cloud infrastructure as code (IaC), continuous configuration automation (CCA), and development operations design, development, testing, and support. We?re looking for someone who is a technology-driven self-starter, team oriented, and a great communicator, with the skills necessary to ensure successful growth and support of our development operations systems. This is a long term consulting role that is offering benefits. And this is remote position. Responsibilities:

  • Work very closely with the software engineering, product management, and operations

teams to design and implement our next-generation high availability, scalable cloudarchitecture

  • Draw on deep knowledge of automated provisioning, scaling and recovery of services

  • Leverage cloud platform products and services to build, deploy, and manage cloud

infrastructure components through IaCIntegrate operational capabilities to facilitate and ensure operational health of stacks throughout their lifecycle, including:

  • Log Collection, aggregation and correlation

  • Event management and routing

  • Asset, capacity, and billing/tag management

  • Provide architectural and engineering leadership, defining and implementing strategies to

ensure scalability, availability, and functionality

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience) and 3 years of

professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required

  • Certification in Kubernetes

  • 5 years and certification in Linux administration

  • 3 years engineering and certification in a cloud ( GCP , AWS, Azure) production


  • 3 years of experience with shell scripting ( BASH or similar)

  • 2 years experience with Helm and Kubernetes manifests

  • 2 years developing CI/CD pipelines on GitLab or CircleCI

  • 2 years engineering scalable Docker containers, ideally on Kubernetes

  • 2 years developing Dockerfiles for Node.js and PHP applications


  • Experience with IaC & CCA tools, such as Cloud Deployment Manager , Ansible,

Terraform, Puppet, Chef, CloudFormation, etc. is a plus

  • Excellent troubleshooting, follow-through and problem solving skills, resourcefulness,

attention to detail, and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong experience with managing hosted services/SaaS

  • Familiarity with programming/scripting

  • Ability to keep pace with rapid changes in enterprise products, frequent context


  • Comfort working on a team that applies Agile principles and the Scrum methodology

  • Comfort working in a product-driven environment
