In this role, the Flavor Lab Technician weighs, mixes and compounds flavors,
prepare samples, with the formulation of selected flavors specifically
developed for customers, including but not limited to following written and
verbal work instructions in English directed by Flavor Chemists and the
Innovation Team to assist with the creation/modification/duplication of
natural, natural & artificial, and artificial flavorings that may be GMO free
or organic complaint, for a variety of foods and beverages that are cost
effective to the customer. Participate in flavor testing, taste panels and
other sensory evaluations to develop organoleptic skills and perform general
laboratory functions to support the Flavor Development and Innovation Team.

To perform these various job functions, this position requires the ability to
accurately weigh and mix dry or liquid ingredients; operate various types of
equipment; understand the impact of temperature effects, solubility and
miscibility properties of ingredients; possess organoleptic capabilities to
effectively evaluate and taste flavors; must be able to taste all products
including those with sugar or meat based solutions. Position also requires not
having any food allergens as there will be exposure to ingredients/products
that include but not limited to soy, wheat, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, seafood,
shellfish, eggs, salt, sugar, beef, chicken, chocolate and cheese; and possess
the ability read/write/interpret technical requirements, procedures and
regulations in English.

To be successful, this position must execute and organize batches efficiently,
collaborate well with the Flavor Chemists for product knowledge, demonstrate
initiative, follow all safety and operating practices and procedures. All of
our team members are expected to demonstrate professional behaviors and
practices of cooperation.

* B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
* Flavor experience a plus
* Familiarity with GMP's and HACCP
* Must be able to taste in full sugar solutions along with the ability to
taste beef, poultry, and dairy products, when required.
* Toleration to an environment of known allergens, dust, powdery residues
and chemical fumes and vapors.
* Fluent in English and possess good written and verbal communication
* Ability to read, write, communicate and accurately follow detailed
instructions in English.
* Ability to use physical senses to evaluate quality of full variety of
flavors and products.
* Dexterity to work with fingers and hands to operate equipment, handle
chemicals and update technology applications.
* Ability to wear all safety PPE s; respective safety gear including bu
not limited to protective clothing, shoes, respirators, and comply with
all safety standards.

The primary responsibilities for the Lab Technician role will be to provide
support to multiple labs including Application, Perfumery, and Laundry. You
will assist and cover shipping when the primary employee is out of the office
and during busy times of the year. Also, the Lab Technician will prepare and
set up evaluations for the Home Care / Home Care Technical Team in accordance
with a time sensitive schedule as well as assist the lab Supervisor with
running Viscosity & Titration samples.

* 2 years Compounding Experience
