Full Stack Web Engineer – Fans First (Boston)
We are looking for a Full Stack Web Engineer to help support and grow our products that help artists engage off-platform with their biggest fans. We want to optimize tools and bring Spotify’s global scale to allow artists to reach their fans at all reaches of the world, all while gaining valuable insights to help continually improve our products.What you’ll do
- Use your experience of the full stack to design intelligent solutions including back end and front end systems.
- Be a strong participant in the Spotify-wide web developer community affecting and driving web engineering across the company.
- Be a technical leader within the team you work with and within Spotify in general.
- Take operational responsibility for the components that you write.
- Hack on what you want during regular hack days and bi-annual hack weeks.
- You’re excited about delivering end-to-end experiences and care about your software architecture across the backend, front-end and the APIs that glue them together.
- You are experienced in backend development and technologies such as Java or Python.
- You are interested in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise.
- You are experienced working with modern infrastructure and tools.
- You know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming and automated testing.
- You’re familiar with designing and building distributed and scalable systems and enjoy seeing millions of users running your code.
