Heat Treat TechnicianGeneral SummaryThe Induction HTT Technician operates induction coil heating equipment inresponse to the client's request. An Induction Technician safely andefficiently operates the equipment to maintain the desired output. Technicianset up shall meet basic requirements of the Induction control to meet thetemperature requirements as outlined in the appropriate procedure, whilemaintaining safe conditions for operators and equipment.
Each setup will varybased on site conditions. Essential Job FunctionsMaintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering toCompany/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations,alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern. Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values, as wellas TEAM's 7 Critical Choices.
Gathers materials required to fill work orders, as directed. Sets up the machine, and positions work pieces for processing, as directed. Assists with necessary adjustments and removes scraps from machine.
Assists with maintaining raw material inventory. Conducts job walks with certified technicians and be able to communicaterequirements. Interfaces with clients and co-workers.
Ensures jobs are completed in a timely manner and according to schedule. Instructs assistant in set-up/tear-down of equipment; perform routine andpreventive maintenance tasks, calibrations and overall equipment andfacilities upkeep. Completes proper documentation and reports of services provided.
Learns and abides by induction procedures. Job QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in relevant industry preferred.
Travel requirements: 0% - 50%. Work ConditionsField duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere and be ableto tolerate climate changes. Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and clientpersonnel.
Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extremenoise. Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department forpersonal protection. May be at more than one job site in a day and may be required to travel out oftown.
Physical and Mental RequirementsAbility to lift and carry 75 pounds. Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilitiesto communicate effectively.
Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively. Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department forpersonal protection. Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or withoutreasonable accommodations to perform office duties and travel when necessaryto off-site locations.
Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver within a refinery or plantenvironment to include the ability to gain access to elevated platforms vialadders and stairwells.
