JOB DESCRIPTIONPRIMARY DUTIES OF INSIDE SALES ASSOCIATE

  • Sells industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding supplies andrelated equipment to customers.
  • Answers customer questions by phone and in person with external andinternal customers.
  • Advises customer on equipment and materials needed and procedures tofollow to complete tasks they wish to perform.
  • Demonstrates use of equipment.
  • Arranges for delivery of cylinders and hard-goods.
  • Stocks and maintains showroom displays.
  • Obtains or transfers merchandise to and from other locations.
  • Prepare invoice, accepts payments and makes change.
  • Wraps or bags merchandise for customers and assists in loading andunloading cylinders.
  • Ensure all required paperwork and computer entry is accuratelycompleted, including coding posting and pricing.
  • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.

PRIMARY DUTIES OF RELIEF DRIVER

  • Drives up to a 20-ton truck loaded with compressed gas cylinders, liquidcylinders and hard goods to deliver to customers on scheduled route whenregular driver is not available.
  • Pick up empty cylinders from customer sites.
  • Records deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest and obtains signaturesfrom customers for receipt purposes.
  • Listens to and resolves service inquires and complaints.
  • Load/unload truck.

Performs pre and post trip vehicle inspections,documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good workingorder.

  • Maintains neat, clean and professional personal appearance, and maintainsvehicle appearance in a professional manner.
  • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and management.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 - 50 lbs.

, and occasionally lift 51 - 80lbs. , frequent bending.

  • Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to work overtime, when necessary.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with differentpersonalities and backgrounds and communicate professionally .
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Candidate to have CDL B with Hazmat and at least one year of commercialdriving experience in a Class B or larger vehicle.

Hazmat can be obtainedafter offer.

  • Experience in computer based order entry and inventory control systemsand the ability to accurately perform this job duty on a daily basisPREVIOUS EXPERIENCE DESIRED
  • Setup and promotion of welding equipment and processes.
  • Some experience in handling compressed gases.
  • Customer service or sales experience.
