The BOC demonstrates ability to exercise considerable judgment, initiative, discretion and independence.

Be Doing? Provides primary administrative support for the Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Senior Administrative Director. They may support other leadership if time permits.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: scheduling appointments and meeting rooms, arranging conference calls, managing calendars, places/screens/directs telephone calls appropriately including patient calls, greets visitors, coordinates business lunches, etc. Handles the human resources for other administrative assistants that encompasses but is not limited to: interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training and performing annual reviews for administrative assistants. Evaluates resource allocation of administrative staff including development of metrics to evaluate need and efficiency.
Produces and promotes quality improvement initiatives with regards to essential administrative functions and systems. Independently recognizes the need to initiate, coordinate, and implement department projects. Prepares reports and presentations.
Collects and analyzes information. Drafts correspondence and responses to routine memos and letters. Plans and coordinates recruitment activities for fellows, faculty and other visitors arranging travel, hotel accommodations and itineraries.
Plans, researches, organizes, analyzes and completes special projects within Laboratory Services. QualificationsWhat Are
