Lead Maintenance & Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Maintenance and Reliability Engineer with experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry. 

Duties:

This position will lead the Maintenance & Reliability team, provide stewardship on reliability deliverables, ensure goals completion on schedule and budget. Propose solution/improvement for the project execution (including process and technologies) engineering support for the development of client M&R; management system integration, this involves, but not limited to: development of standards, develop facility asset hierarchy, creation of equipment strategies, provide solutions and/or recommendations to improve reliability in systems, assist maintenance team in creation of maintenance plans.

Key Aims and Objectives

  • The main aim of this role is to ensure that all pieces of equipment associated with the Clients project, possess an adequate equipment strategy to guarantee its mechanical integrity and good performance within their cycle of life, with a wised cost philosophy in mind
  • Provide guidelines to the Reliability engineers to achieve the reliability goals for the project, propose recommendations and solutions to improve the reliability of the Clients assess
  • Propose philosophies and methodologies to achieve asset availability and reliability. Facilitate sessions, with AMEC and Client M&R; team to complete complex analysis. Support Reliability Engineers in RCM, FMEA, FMECA sessions

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of Reliability Scope on schedule and on time
  • Focal contact point for the  Clients M&R; group, for maintenance and reliability matters
  • Carry out overall risk ranking of project systems at a high level
  • Participate in project operability, maintainability and model reviews
  • Facilitate reliability team training and guide the reliability team in execution
  • Provide direction to the client M&R; team in the development of equipment strategy
  • Assist client in achieving reliability, maintainability and operability goals
  • Work with Maintenance team, to ensure the deliverables are aligned with CMMS expectations/limitations

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the industry
  • Proficiency  in RCM, RCA, FMEA, FMECA, RAM and Asset Management
  • Knowledge in CMMS systems (SAP, MAXIMO)
  • Knowledge on Reliability Tools and CMMS tools
  • Perform failure/defects analysis and provide failure/defects elimination strategies
  • Participated in HAZOPs
  • RCM facilitation (RCM2 certification is an asset)
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) and/or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) is an asset
  • Good understanding of maintenance systems
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Strong technical background
  • Understanding of risk assessment processes
  • Good planning and maintenance implementation experience
  • Proficiency in equipment criticality assessment
  • Ability to a lead multi-discipline team
  • Offshore maintenance experience is an advantage
  • Must be fluent in English, spoken and written and
  • Understanding of applicable codes and standards within the industry and OH&S; regulations
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
