Provide for the maintenance and upkeep of the College for Officer’s Training buildings, equipment, grounds, and vehicles:
Assist the Property Director with the responsibility of the timely completion of work orders.
Maintain campus yards including spring, summer and fall tasks of mowing grass, weeding flower gardens, removing litter and trash, removing yard clippings, trimming bushes and trees, and watering plants.
Maintain campus yards including winter tasks of snow removal from sidewalks, stairs, parking lots, and drives.
Perform regular and preventative maintenance of motorized equipment. This includes vehicles, riding mower, lawn equipment and snow equipment.
Perform minor repairs on malfunctioning equipment, doors, windows, lights, etc. as instructed.
Maintain all buildings, equipment, grounds, and vehicles associated with the College for Officer’s Training.
Assist in the performing of regular servicing of all plant motors, changing of filters, and other preventative maintenance of HVAC equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance walk through of campus mechanical areas.
Respond to emergency needs after hours and/or on weekends as requested by Property Director.
Respond to weekend snow removing as assigned by Property Director.
Perform plumbing repairs such as installing toilets, cabinets, faucets, drains, water pumps and motors.
Perform electrical repairs such as replacing motors, belts, ballasts, lighting and circuit breakers.
Power rodding of sewers.
Appliance installation and repair.
Dry wall hanging, sanding, patching and painting.
Maintain a clean orderly work environment.
Maintain repair parts inventory.
Maintain compactor and compactor rooms.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in facility maintenance experience.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a clear MVR record for driving Salvation Army vehicles as well as obtain a Class D driver’s license.
Regularly lifting, pulling and pushing of materials up to 80 pounds
Requires bending, squatting and walking
May stand for extended periods
