Responsibilities

Engineers (USACE) – Information Technology (IT) program. The Army Corps of Engineers – Information Technology (ACE-IT) provides secure enterprise-wide IT and information management support services to more than 40,000 USACE end users located throughout the Continental U.S. (CONUS) and outside the Continental U.S. (OCONUS). ACE-IT is the enterprise IT service delivery team for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, supporting mission requirements using a site-specific support model aligned along the USACE Regional Business Centers.

The Network Operations Manager leads the Network Operations Center (NOC) staff to enable mission essential operations that facilitate the prompt detection, resolution, escalation and reporting of service impacting events and incidents across all network services for both wired and wireless capabilities. Support includes both Unclassified and Classified services.

As the USACE-IT mission is to provide global, reliable, secure terrestrial and satellite based network services to their customers, the NOC is the program’s central nerve center. Qualifications

MUST HOLD ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE. 

Masters’ Degree and Seven years’ experience or Bachelor’s Degree and ten years’ experience in IT or related field.

Must have one of the following certifications to be compliant with DoD IAT Level 3: 

CASP CE

CCNP SecurityCISACISSPGCEDGCIH 

At least 10 years of practical experience managing a NOC and/or providing at least Senior Engineering level support in a large scale, complex, high performance network, is acceptable. Must be able to work rotating shift schedules which provide 24 hour day/7 day week coverage as needed for mission requirements, including working other than normal work day hours to meet installs, upgrades, etc.

Skills should include: Cisco Network Equipment (Routers, Switches, and Firewalls), General Routing, Switch and Firewall Competencies, Load Balancing Experience and Knowledge.
