An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available to study the pathogenesis of aging-associated lung fibrosis. A competitive candidate should have a Ph.D. and/or a M.D. degree with excellent research techniques in molecular biology and cell biology. Prior experience with animal studies is valued. The successful applicant must be highly self-motivated and capable of independently performing experiments and writing manuscripts under the mentor's supervision. The postdoctoral fellow will have opportunities to conduct the cutting-edge research project with state-of-the-art technologies and model systems, including CRISPR gene editing, single-cell RNA-Seq, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), organoids, and transgenic mice. The fellow will be given opportunities to apply for training grants and encouraged to pursue independent research career, with a strong support of the mentor.
