staff a Pay and Benefits Advisor.

About_The_Role

The Pay and Benefits Advisor is accountable for providing expert pay and
benefits services, advice and guidance, administering and applying the
regulations, policies and procedures regarding pay and benefits for
Members of Parliament, Members staff, House and Research Officers as
well as internal and external partners.

The Pay and Benefits Advisor needs to have a comprehensive knowledge of
pay and benefits services. They are able to remain calm under pressure
and have a client-centric approach to their work. The ideal candidate is
a problem solver with an analytical mind and is willing to help out their

o EducationSuccessful completion of post-secondary education OR an
acceptable combination of education, training and relevant
experience.ExperienceExtensive experience with and in-depth
knowledge of pay, pension and benefits administration;Extensive
experience in the interpretation and application of regulations,
collective agreement provisions on terms and conditions of
employment, policies and procedures in human resources or related
field;Extensive experience using pay systems, HR systems and the
Microsoft Office Suite.AssetExperience working with
Phoenix;Completion of a relevant training and/or certification with
the Canadian Payroll Association.

o The purpose of this recruitment and selection process is to
establish a list of potential candidates to staff Pay and Benefits
Advisor positions that may be considered for temporary or
indeterminate positions. Potential candidates may also be
considered for other temporary or indeterminate positions requiring
similar competencies at the House of Commons.
