Roles & Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

You are responsible for managing the business performance of the restaurant as well as the efficient running and daily operations of the restaurant, in accordance to the company’s standards.

You are to assist in ensuring an efficient and profitable operations while maintaining the brand reputation as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.

Success factors include day-to-day management skills (eg. rostering, staff & customer management etc).

Being a part of the hospitality industry, restaurant management can be fast-paced, highly demanding yet rewarding.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

1. QSC / Sales Building / Profit & Loss

· Mainitain critical standards for finished product quality, service speed and quality, cleanliness and sanitation.

· Manage shifts and/or area without supervision. Prepare shift change-over for the next shift manager.

· Effectively supports promotions and marketing plans to maximize sales potential.

· Build sales and maximise profitability by effective cost control to meet desired business results.

· Effectively control food costs and manage food components, wastage at optimal level

· Assist and support the implementation of new products and procedures.

2. Operations (Food Safety / Sanitation / Security)

· Efficient running and daily operations of the restaurant, in accordance to the company’s standards.

· Ensure smooth implementation and execution of A&P programmes and new products.

· Properly execute, enforce and manage all food safety and sanitation requirements and practices, hygiene regulations and upkeep restaurant cleanliness.

· Ensure that all security procedures are executed (Cash deposits, Opening and Closing procedures).

· Evaluate and improve on operations and procedures.

3. Staff management

- Staff recruitment, people development through orientation, training and staff retention.

- Lead and motivate staff in achieving sales targets and customer satisfaction.

- Lead and train staff in delivering excellent customer service quality and standards.

- Responsible for staff performance and discipline; monitor staff performance and conduct performance evaluation.

- Assist Restaurant Manager in effectively managing and maintaining labour cost 

4. Customer service and service quality

· Assist Restaurant Manager in ensuring excellent customer service standards and quality.

· Manage and handle customer feedback and complaints in an appropriate and timely manner, aligned with company’s standards.

5. Other related duties

- Maintain proper administration and filing of restaurant certifications and other relevant documents.
