Kforce has a client in search of a Senior AWS Cloud Security/Network Engineer in Tucson, AZ. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager. We are looking for candidates nationwide willing to relocate to the Tucson, AZ area. Once again, the position is in Tucson, AZ. Relocation assistance will be provided.Essential Functions:Design, implement, manage and maintain the company's information technology infrastructure, consisting of:

  • Security and AWS Security, server and network admin experience are important as the team is light on this skillset currently; Windows Server experience; Linux

  • This person will be an escalation point for tougher technical issues

  • Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 on Dell server hardware, Hyper-V virtualization and clustering, multi-server Exchange 2016, Symantec messaging gateway, Cisco, Dell and Extreme routing/switching, Active Directory, layer 2/3 WAN, LAN/VLAN, Ubiquity wireless networks, SonicWall, Windows Storage Servers, Symantec Endpoint Protection and AWS

  • Need to be able to handle base level technical issues (helping with password resets or something like that) and high-level Network Engineering; very broad job and the team is designed as such to handle whatever comes at them

Design and implement secure networking solutions to satisfy diverse system access needs including:

  • Employee access to computing resources

  • Access for external supplier to maintain their equipment and/or provide support functions

  • Machine-to-machine communication

  • Cloud Access

  • Conduct analysis, scoping, and recommend solutions for both technical issues and projects

  • Provide technical leadership for support personnel, resolve escalated help desk tickets, ensure system security and backups, and manage software licenses

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Network Systems or similar field or equivalent work experience

  • 8-10 years specifically as a Security, System and Network admin with Cloud experience; Ideally the person is strongest in the security area and has good experience on the Network and System administration; Need to have the System and Network in their tool belt as they will be leaned on by other team members for their knowledge and experience

  • Current CompTIA Security certification (or equivalent) is preferred

  • 7-12 years of hands-on experience supporting a diverse computing environment

  • Security experience is required

  • Windows Server experience; Linux

  • Hands on experience with common security tools, including packet capture and inspection, vulnerability assessment, MFA and password management

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Security and AWS Security, server and network admin experience are important as the team is light on this skillset currently; Windows Server experience; Linux

Preferred Skills but not required:

  • An advanced degree in an IT related discipline

  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2016

  • Current Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications

  • Experience with SonicWall, Symantec Messaging Gateway, Backup Exec, and Anti-Virus

  • Experience with storage area networks (iSCSI)

  • Experience managing security policies and procedures

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
