The Content Design team—part of the larger Grab Design team—works hand-in-hand with product designers to create products that are usable, clear, and express the Grab brand.

Get to know the role:
We are looking for an experienced Content Design manager to lead and develop the team that “designs with language” for Grab’s customers using the app and website. The Content Design manager should possess strong UX writing skills themselves, but more importantly know how to help others develop and best use these skills. This is an opportunity to create the premier content design team in Southeast Asia.
The day-to-day activities:


Oversee and manage the day-to-day delivery of source content (English) and localised content for Grab’s mobile app, web, product and customer service experiences.


Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure content designers are integrated into the product development process.


Ensure content quality by providing formal critique, coaching, and training.


Cultivate a team culture of peer feedback and open collaboration.


Develop and implement best practices for writers, designers, and engineers to strengthen collaboration and raise the quality of content.


Ensure all written content is delivered in the Grab voice.


Maintain high levels of operational excellence through clear communication and timely delivery.


Guide content designers to apply appropriate insights from user research to designs.


Create an environment of continuous learning and professional development.


The Must-Haves:


Outstanding UX writing and editing skills in English


Relevant experience working with designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers


Take initiative, anticipate problems, and enable your team to develop solutions


Strong time management and prioritisation skills and experience teaching those skills to others


Become an advocate of a better quality of life for the people in Southeast Asia.


Track record of successfully managing a regional or international team of writers and / or designers to deliver a unified experience


Experience applying a universal voice and various tones for different audiences, and coaching other people to do so too


Easily collaborate using remote collaboration tools


Understand how to measure the success of your team and operate the team for continuous improvement


Ability to resolve issues diplomatically


Ability to bring out the best in individuals as well as an entire team


The Good-to-Haves:


Your previous teams would call you “the best manager I’ve ever had.”


Has transcreation and editing experience in Simplified Chinese or one of the Southeast Asian languages 


Experience in eCommerce, financial services, or tech startup environments


Teaching experience


Entrepreneurial experience
