JOB SUMMARY

Sets direction for prioritization and architecture for a given business segment. Works in tandem with business process owner(s) to set overall strategy for Finance processes. Gathers strategic requirements, translates to the process team, and balances needs among segment priorities. Ensures consistent process application across all segments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains and establishes strategic relationships with the business segments. Exchange information to ensure alignment with segment strategy.

Coordinates with segment leadership team to ensure full alignment with segment priorities. Communicates and collaborates with process team to determine segment requirements.

Identifies critical business dependencies, risks, roadblocks, etc. to align with process and applications roadmap. Transmits Business knowledge to the processes and programs teams to achieve high internal customer satisfaction. Collaborates and communicates successfully across the organization.

Collects, analyzes, and utilizes data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve the Segment process and application KPIs.

Proactively solves conflicts and addresses issues that could occur between the segment and the process / programs teams. Promptly responds to incidents and other events that may occur as necessary.

Serves as the primary representative of the Global Finance Processes & Programs team within the segment.

Maintains a consistent governance structure within the segment for all processes and programs.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.  Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field of work with a minimum of 9-12 years’ experience. MBA preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

CPA, CMA, CA, ACCA preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to apply excellent written and verbal communication skills to accurately explain/report activity. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues and work collaboratively with business partners, key employees, top management, and client groups on various projects.



FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.



REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex financial information and transactions and accounting principles. Ability to independently research complex accounting transactions/issues. Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.



OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
