Senior Editor - Oracle Content Central
Development of communication programs to promote Oracle's products & services.
Evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Defines vision, strategies, and tactics. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Primarily a resource/ allocation role, coordinating the daily activities of a work group and setting priorities to ensure task completion. Supervises within prescribed procedures with management review and approval. Maintains orderly work processes by coordinating work flow and work quality. Provides technical/functional leadership, as well as first line supervision, but does not have hire/fire authority. Uses individual knowledge and skills to develop team members.

SENIOR EDITOR: ORACLE CONTENT CENTRAL
Oracle s Content Central team is looking for an experienced, hands-on editor, writer, and content leader to join its editorial team. This person will help conceive and create journalist-quality articles and other forms of multimedia content on a range of technology and business topics. This person will join a team of about a dozen content pros who publish stories every week, on a variety of channels, to help tell the stories of Oracle and its customers around the world.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience editing and writing for publication; explaining technology and business trends; generating and honing story ideas; and working in a high-volume publishing environment. Deep knowledge of online best practices (SEO, driving traffic, web publishing, etc.) is a plus.
Location is flexible.
Developing story ideas with Content Central colleagues and with internal and external stakeholders, such as Oracle technology experts, marketing teams, and technology partners.
Helping deliver hands-on, how-to content that technology pros find valuable, in collaboration with technical experts.
Thinking of new and creative ways to cover emerging tech trends such as cloud computing, autonomous technology, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and Internet of Things.
Editing articles, from developing story ideas to rigorous line editing of the stories themselves.
Coaching both professional writers and Oracle technical experts to make their stories more powerful.
Skills And Qualifications:
Proven editorial judgment and clear editorial vision. Proven line editing and writing skills.
Keen attention to detail and deadlines.
Collaborative mindset and experience working with virtual teams; strong project and people management skills and experience.
Ability to work in a large company environment, balancing input and priorities from multiple sources.
Experience in web publishing. Experience working with video and audio a plus.
