The Role Responsibilities & Our Ideal Candidate

The role holder will support the Global Head ERA Delivery in delivering the Enterprise Risk Analytics function model development and delivery agenda ensuring that the ERA strategy and objectives are defined and being effectively delivered, with day to day responsibility for business management activities as well as a key role in supporting relevant governance & control processes.

Strategy & Target Operating Model

  • Support the Global Head ERA Delivery in the oversight of the delivery agenda across ERA

  • Support the Global Head ERA Delivery in implementation of ERA target operating model and that changes to people, policy, processes, technology and governance are managed effectively and imbedded appropriately into BAU

  • Coordinate effective communication, both internally and externally, on ERA capabilities and progress on deliverables

Business

  • Awareness of ERA core deliverables including current Model Development activity and future planned strategy

  • Good understanding of ERA customer business needs including expectations from Regulators as well as our internal Business functions model requirements.

Processes

  • Proactively support third party vendor partnerships owned by ERA on behalf of SCB including assisting with Supply Chain Management Processes such as vendor selection (RFP, RFI, RFQ)

  • Act as secretariat to ERA MT meetings when required and proactively manage action items arising

  • Support the Global Head ERA Delivery in ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) in place where necessary, particularly as the build out of our offshore locations progresses

  • Support the Global Head ERA Delivery in tracking of headcount, FTE and costs, owning the monthly process to monitor this

Risk Management

  • Proactively scan the ERA landscape and assist in identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group that come from key activities undertaken by ERA

Governance

  • Proactively drive the management of audit, both internal and external, and residual risk commitments assigned to ERA.  Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure audit commitments are met and comprehensive regular updates provided

  • Support line ownership responsibilities for Prudential Compliance Framework and ensure controls are operating effectively

  • Support ensuring adherence by ERA to Operational Risk Framework and support the design and testing of key controls.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
