Senior Product Manager, NYT Cooking

fNYT Cooking is seeking a smart, ambitious Product Manager to lead its Growth Team. In this role, you will drive the strategy of NYT Cooking’s growth initiatives in partnership with marketing, design, engineering and newsroom -- to ensure Cooking is meeting its goals. You will own the strategy, roadmap and execution of the growth product initiatives. You will be a master at developing and testing hypotheses quickly. You’ll be adept at using analytics, user research, and experimentation to grow our subscriber base, as well as maximize conversion rate. This role reports directly to the Cooking Product director.
In this role you will:
Define growth roadmap collaboratively with Product, Engineering, Design, Edit, Data analysts, and Marketing based on deep analysis and understanding of user experience to unlock and optimize all onsite acquisition channels
Identify both near-term and strategic initiatives and experiments to drive growth and improve conversion
Own all the initial touch points and partner integrations into the product experience and constantly be thinking of how to improve or expand this landscape
Partner with other Product Managers and Marketers in Cooking and within the larger New York Times to increase growth opportunities throughout the product experience
Monitor growth metrics/funnel, set up and manage dashboards to ensure all channels are performing
Manage competing priorities with consistency and transparency. Make good decisions and articulate the reasoning to stakeholders.
Evangelize Growth throughout the org. Always be learning and sharing your findings with the team so that you can scale yourself. Make us all part of the Growth team!
Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of other sites, apps, and products to continually identify ways to improve acquisition and conversion

4-5 years of product management experience
1-3 years of experience in growth product management at a consumer technology or media company
Experience working on a subscription-based product
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable working with remote teammates.
