Transaction Services / Settlements Analyst
The Securities & Derivatives Rep 5 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations
- Transaction Services team.
The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. Responsibilities: Identify and implement process improves of the securities and derivatives settlement process using data analysis tools and methodologies Complete operational tasks focused on administering defined procedures, analyses and report preparation Analyze data and make recommendations for the launch of new products and services or upgraded platforms Minimize risk to the bank by monitoring errors and suggesting solutions that reduce errors, and ensure adherence to audit and control policies Identify policy gaps and propose efforts to streamline the securities and derivatives settlement processes Monitor, analyze and evaluate processes and data to ensure the accuracy and quality of completed settlement tasks Maintain an in-depth understanding of how the team collaborates with other areas in accomplishing assigned tasks Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications: 2-4 years of relevant experience Fundamental knowledge of securities/derivatives activities, policies, procedures, and concepts Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Education: High School diploma or equivalent
This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required. Department Overview Based in the Dublin Service Centre, the Issuer Services Department is part of the wider Custody and Issuer Services Group.
The Department contains a diverse section of units which support our Issuer Services Clients, Product and Sales partners. The services we provide include Depository servicing, Issuing & Paying agency services and Specialised Agency functions such as Account Bank, Project Finance, Structured Finance and Escrow Agent functions. Typical Corporate Trust clients of Citi include major international and national-level corporations, financial institutions (FIs), banks, and public sector/sovereign Debt issuers, as well as investment banks, asset managers, and stand-alone collateral managers.
Team/Position Overview The role sits within the Transaction Services team. The main duties of the team include the following: -Review of legal final terms to capture relevant data to manage securities through to maturity, -Processing of same data into our internal system.
-Regulatory reporting, -Audit reporting, -Query management Key Responsibilities: Review transactional documentation (inclusive of programmes, pricing supplements (Terms & Conditions) or final terms) and input the key transactional data maintained within these documents into the core transaction system. Compare documentation to system information, check accuracy and highlight discrepancies. Update system data whereby necessary and ensure this information is verified by supervisor.
Run relevant required regulatory and client reports and distribute as required. Ensure our floor standards & corporate policies are adhered to. Provide responses to queries generated from both internal and external stakeholders on transactional data quality.
General Office duties. Experience and Skills Demonstrates a good customer service attitude, dealing with external/internal “clients” Documentation experience would be beneficial (ISDA/ ICMA) Able to demonstrate good written / verbal communication Versatility and conscientious approach A knowledge of the Capital Markets Corporate Trust business would be an advantage ------------------------------------------------
