Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Transportation EIT/Coordinator include working in a team with other project engineers on the preliminary design of urban and rural transportation schematic and environmental projects. More specific duties include: developing corridor alignment and profile geometrics, typical sections, 2D/3D corridor modeling, assessing drainage needs and construction estimates. Other responsibilities include developing analysis related technical presentations, memos, reports and calculations. Candidates will be asked to perform other duties as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

  • 0-2+ years of related industry experience 

  • MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) experience required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microstation

  • Demonstrated proficiency to prepare plans, specification and estimates to state and local standards

  • Ability to multitask while working on many projects at once

  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture 

Preferred Qualifications

  • EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

  • 2+ years of experience in highway design utilizing MicroStation and GeoPak preferred

  • Familiarity with key transportation standards, details, manuals, studies, and guidelines 

  • Preference given to local candidates
