About the role
You will be part of the Business Development team, identifying new opportunities to build collaborative, sector beating partnerships with organisations who share our values and objectives. You will use your initiative and curiosity to seek out new opportunities and will passionately represent the Macmillan brand to ensure that we are the partner of choice. But you won't be on your own. You will have the support of other functions and committed colleagues across the organisation to help you secure the funding and reach your income goals.
Whilst this role is highly dependent on team work and collaboration, Macmilllan have developed a flexible culture that ensures that this can be done remotely. So you can chose to be entirely home based (with occasional team building days in our London office) or can be split between home and our London office (one day a week on average in the office).
About you
You are a passionate and driven individual with proven commercial acumen in any sector, with these transferable skills and knowledge:
Expert negotiation skills Evidence of successful acquisition of innovative partnerships Experience of establishing effective relationships at the most senior levels within large, commercial organisations Target driven, proactive and creative in developing tailor made proposals Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Storytelling skills to be able to win the pitch Resilience to cope with the disappointment of the 'no' as well as the high of the 'yes'
